Command Application

To Apply for your own Command in Alpha Fleet, click on the Link Above. This will take you to the Command Application Form. After filling this form in completely, and to the best of your ability, it will be put before the Alpha Fleet Applications Review Board for consideration. You will be notified by one of those members on how far your application has gone. Before taking a command, you may be interviewed by a member of the review, or a representative of the Applications Board. You will then meet your TFCO, and they will brief you on what you need to know - this person will be your primary contact within Alpha Fleet. Please read through the information listed below before submitting your application. The members of the Applications Review Board are listed below.

The Applications Process-Command Application

When applying for Command, please make sure to completely fill out the application, biography, and interview questions. Once you submit your application, the application will be forwarded to the members of the Applications Review Board. Then, the board will review the application, and contact any relevant references or check out any fleet experience that is listed. Please be sure to add all of your contact information to the application, as various members of the board may wish to contact you to gain additional details or ask additional questions regarding matters submitted in the application. After all of the information is reviewed, the board will take a vote on the state of the application.

To accept the application, it takes three positive votes out of a possible five or a majority vote. If your application is rejected, this is not absolute no on future applications, you may work on improving your experience listing and apply again after a period of six months. If your application is accepted, then the Applications Board Chairman will notify you via email of your acceptance. The Applications Board is also responsible for assigning new Commanding Officers to their respective Task Force. If you have been recruited by a specific Task Force Commanding Officer, please indicate that on your application, or please indicate that if you have a specific Task Force request.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) Due to the democratic voting process of the application review process, it will take some time to review your app. Some applications will take up to a week to process, so please be patient. Sometimes members of the board may be on a leave of absence and may not be able to vote immediately.

2) This application is intended for new Commanding Officers. If you would like to transfer your ship from another fleet to Alpha Fleet, first make sure that you meet the following guidelines: One-That you have done everything to work out differences within your fleet, Two-That your simm has been established (with active posters) for at least six months. Please keep in mind that although the Applications Board does have the final say in acceptance, fleet transfers are generally sent before the Command Staff before the review board even gets to vote. This means that the review may take longer to process than a standard application and may be rejected before even getting seen by the review board. You will be notified by the Board Chairman of any decision.

3) If you have any questions about your application, feel free to contact the board chairman, not the Alpha Fleet Command Staff. Command does not always get the status of incoming applications, and most of the time will not be able to help you. All new applications come through the Board Chairman, so please contact this person before Alpha Fleet Command.
